System

System is a patient
Attend to it
Why let it rot
And then suffer at its cost

It needs expert intervention
Good doctors and medication
To put life back into it
And make it as it was conceived

Why blame the system
Did we look after it
To make it responsive
And useful and sensitive

When we make merry
And manipulate the system
What is left is a sickly skeleton
That needs more than it delivers

Some say replace the system
But it works as good as we make the system
Who manage and use the system
Unless we change, how shall change the system

Use and throw is convenient to the consumer
But what we need is a long lasting system
It works as the back bone of the nations and its people
On which hangs their future and that of coming generations

Preserve the system for your own good
Why make it heartless and indifferent for good
Politicking eats into the vitals of a system
However sturdy and effective it looks!
