Fire does not touch his frame
Waters part to make a way
Time pauses to have a look
A yogi has just passed that way
When he steps out to walk
Time slows down to a stop
World is mesmerised in awe
Witnessing a divine opera
Sun lights all nooks and streets
Winds make his path spot clean
Waters rush to touch his feet
Moon stands guard while he sleeps
He shakes the clumsy ground
Powers fear him and frown
Birds make a joyous sound
Children play pranks upside down
Fire burns evil that comes in his way
Waters wash the filth away
Thunder keeps envious far away
Holy is the ground that makes his way!
Wah Khoob Vinod ! Really an apt and exquisite description of a true yogi !

another lovely poem Vinod, do let us know by link on hotmail whenever you have a new one or by a comment in my blog. Lookin forward to a picture with a poem or alternate poem and picture posts. If you have or get digital camera you could easily grab pictures from your surroundings and post with description, even a poetic one

e
Vinod after you post a poem and reread it after a few days if you feel like chnaging a word here and a word there , just go ahead and do it as many times as possible. I would have changed a few words perhaps like , "that way" in line 4 to this way.Line 10, spot clean to spotlessly clean. perhaps but it is up to you. A poem is a thing of beauty and it is different to different eyes. :)
ReplyDeleteDear Ashok ji, Thank you very much indeed. I was thinking of adding a stanza , and at that time I shall make the changes suggested by you. Thanks a lot.
