Commercial charity

Charity has become funny
When one is really noticed
Either bared in part
Or in full dressed ice bath

There is dearth of love
And nature much subdued
As one advances somewhat
Or becomes something

The more serious the cause
With indifference it is stonewalled
Unless the funnier side is tickled
Or a joke lightens stiff hearts

When people enjoy the fun
They become more charitable
To part with something noticeable
Willingly and happily

Nothing sells like nonsense
Unprintable stuff or sleaze
Many spend a fortune on it
But not a penny towards charity

Charity is serious business
Promotion and more money
Those who can pay
Never do it silently

If one wants publicity
Name and fame
Recognition and praise
Charity is an easier way of commercial bargain!
