A house divided

A house stands
with foundation strong
but it crumbles
when abandoned long

When foundation shakes
it can't withstand a quake
one who lives in the house
he is never safe

The house disintegrates
with a brother estranged
bring him round
before it's too late

One may stand taller
and raise his stake
but he is not spared
when he commits a mistake

A good house is built
brick by brick
each brick well washed
no filth in between

Heed the sane voice
though it may pinch
the house then stands
long and fit

Light shines above
but for a while
some wake up and work
and some draw the blinds!
