Fulfillment

Blind see and deaf hear
Dumb speak and lame walk
Miracles happen all of a sudden
Which no one ever thought

What food is to hunger
And water to thirst
Sweet words are to one
Who is bruised and hurt

What knowledge is to one
Who fumbles in words
Wisdom is to silence
For it needs no words

An unfulfilled desire sucks
Like a debt without funds
One who woos each penny
He knows its worth

Things that appear small
They do big tasks
A pill saves life
And a needle stitches cloth

Plenty and excess
Are no marker of success
Contentment with a little
Brings peace and fulfillment

In penury or want
Who retains his calm
He is a man of character
Who shall never lose his charm!

A dogword

A police dog a labrador
Well trained but did my part
Deadly things I sniffed and sensed
Drugs,explosives and bombs

I was so blessed and thank my stars
My talents flourished as I slogged
Working hard and round the clock
My sixth sensed my time was short

What I changed was the thoughts and hearts
An animal is no less when given a chance
I was lucky to be a police dog
Rest you saw that I needn't talk

They say I saved lives too many
And that I was no ordinary dog
But a soul elevated in animal form
Think whatever as I depart

I thank my stars I was born a dog
The things I did I did as a dog
This dogword I say as I rise above
Do your part well and quick before comes a fullstop!

From horse's mouth

Stuck deep in mud
And tide over my head
I was counting my breaths

An fairy saved me from drowning
Yes, it was my own mistress struggling
Pushing the horse up so it doesn't stop breathing

She didn't run for her own life
When tide came high and wild
But kept my head lifted high

I wouldn't have been alive
Sinking and being sucked alive
But for her spirit that won't let me die

Help came but hours went by
When I was pulled out not dead but alive
She hugged me in love as minutes passed by

Pray lend an ear to what I say
Test the muddy waters before you wade
Time and tide are such that for none they wait

Yet there is something in life
For which one risks his own life
So that there be saved many other lives!

Hope

With hope one lives
And when it dies
One is but a corpse alive

A stone is kicked aside
In hope it swallows its pride
One day it shall be deified

A donkey carries burdens all his life
But nurtures a hope one day he shall fly
Like a race horse which is his owner's pride

A bee takes nectar from flowers bright
In hope it slogs day and night
A queen she shall be in her own right

The world buzzes much with life
See how magnificent are its strides
Because hope walks along side by side!

Eat the honey

Eat the honey and with it honeycomb too
Lest bees become complacent
And eat their own honey too

Love a child much but let him become a man too
Lest he becomes complacent
And remains a child all his life too

A man struggles hard to repay the debt of life too
He has to be ever on watch
Lest he is indebted until the last too

The tussle between good and evil goes on
Goodness suffers but holds long
Evil rules but meets a bitter fall

As evil in human form lay sprawled
It spake thus as witnessed by the Lord
I wasn't right and committed wrong after wrong

I am still breathing but my last
Pray if You shall forgive me my past
None should emulate me but what I was not

There is a message for us all
To shun all evil without another thought
And be a good human as long as we last

Time has come to celebrate after all
