Strange justice

What presence of mind
a young lad spotted
in wee hours
two thieves hiding
behind parked cars
He woke up his father
who called police
and alerted guards
the thieves who
had put on masks
climbed up the rear gate
to flee but were stopped
by two cops
One thief fired
a cop shot back
the thief fell down
the other one escaped
on the motorcycle
by which the cops came
The cops took the injured thief to the hospital
whom the doctors had to operate
the cop who shot him
his own blood did he donate
to save the thief
who fired at him to kill
Duty is duty
the cop did it
but by saving the thief
he did higher duty
One who has power over another
should first have a heart full of compassion
so as not to close one's eyes
behind the veil of duty
and in the name of justice!
Alas! The thief didn't survive
but the story lives
of the cop and thief
and the strange justice
that it depicts!

The quest

Nothing we know's certain
real turns unreal
unreal a possibility
to reverse again
coming back to
the same question
but the quest continues
such is the interplay
between curiosity and uncertainty
both are restless
when they shall meet certainty!

A rebel

Order and discipline help to master what one tries
some break out and rebel to test waters not tried
to test and create new moves which defy
the old tradition which the maestros keep alive
it's the search for truth and the ultimate
that stirs the soul of the traditionalist and the rebel alike!

Why be serious

When we're serious
we block the energy flow
and with less energy
we want to do more
Let us relax and be funny
and laugh at our ourselves
not only do we attract energy
but also become more creative
Who says concentration comes with seriousness
try and see the focus and clarity follow
when we're happy and lighten ourselves
The life was never meant to be serious
but just lively lovely and fruitful
taking into its embrace
everyone and everything
and expanding its scope continuously!

Will you be my friend

Why everyone exploits me
and none's there to call my friend
alone also I'm not at peace
the loneliness too kills me
Someone I need
who will listen to me
and I feel confident
to share what I have never revealed
What has become of me
friends I look for
who think of me
and why do I fall in trap
when all I do
is to help others sincerely
I neither have two minds
nor two faces
what I'm
that only you see and meet
Am I sick
and why just me
shall I ever come out of it
this restlessness and listlessness
will it ever leave me!

Anger and outburst
the frustration within
an outlet it needs
try to understand
who're with me
I'm not a normal child
please bear with me
unable to express my feelings
encourage me to stand on my feet
What is normal for you
it's so difficult for me
but I want to come up
and give back everything within my reach
Whatever I become
I shall never be ungrateful
for all that you do for me
and whenever you need me
you shall find me beside thee!

To set a goal

Means are as important as the goal
our principles and character carry us through
who waver not from their ideals
and are ready to forgo all
their life itself is an example
to set as a goal
